Event photography

Event photography capturing key moments, guest interactions, and brand atmosphere with professional, high-quality images

There lies a big difference between the person holding a camera and the real event photographer. Real event photography is never point and shoot. It is about telling a story: atmosphere, intention, and emotion through still images. That is a handshake after a big announcement; there is a nervous breath before the keynote; there is the spontaneous laugh about real connection. These moments matter.

  • At We Stream, we’ve worked across dozens of events in London and abroad - from brand activations and corporate summits to music nights and cultural ceremonies. And here’s what we’ve learned: strong photography doesn’t just document your event. It carries it forward. Your photos become your press asset, your memory, your proof of professionalism.

What professional event photography really covers

Proper event photography should always do three things:
  • Capture the energy and flow of the room
  • Highlight the key people, moments, and branding
  • Deliver usable, styled assets for your marketing, comms, and internal teams
This isn’t about lining people up for stiff, posed group shots. It’s about visual storytelling that feels natural and polished. We shoot with purpose: angles, light, and intention. We frame things for LinkedIn, for press, for TikTok banners and email banners — not just for archives.
We’ve done this for big names, including Luxoft, Finastra, Cytec, Usyk and Richard Branson, and we bring the same attention to detail to smaller, fast-paced briefs too.
Our approach: planned, fast, and focused
Every shoot starts with a plan. Who’s attending? Is this internal or public-facing? Are there key VIPs or moments that must be caught? What is this content going to be used for?

Arriving ahead of time, we scout for locations, check for light, room orientation, and adjustment. We never wait for moments-we anticipate them! Our photographers keep to themselves, remaining inconspicuous, and shoot quickly so as not to slow down the pace. We may rarely form some very helpful ensemble if required, but more often than not, we are there to observe and record without interference.
Fast turnaround, press-ready delivery
Speed matters. A lot of our clients need selects for social or media before the event even ends.

We’ve built a work strategy that prioritises speed without quality loss. We’ve delivered 10 press-ready images within 20 minutes of Usyk and Branson at Trafalgar Square event. Those photos went live across major Ukrainian media outlets that same day. This isn’t luck - it’s a system.

We offer:

  • Same-day selects (within 1 hour)
  • Full gallery within 24–48 hours
  • Colour corrected, web-optimised images
  • Optional vertical crops and express retouching

What we shoot

This isn’t an exhaustive list - but here’s where we’re most often booked:
  • Conferences and summits
  • Internal company events
  • Product launches and brand activations
  • Speaker panels and award shows
  • Charity fundraisers and community events
  • Music events and intimate gigs
  • Exhibitions and trade shows
  • Political events and cultural ceremonies
Some of our recent work includes ICE London (filming and photography for multiple companies during one expo), London Design Fair, and private leadership summits. Each event has different needs. We adapt - and always shoot with the final output in mind.

What clients forget about
There’s a belief that any decent photographer can “handle an event.” But events are unpredictable. Lighting changes. VIPs arrive unannounced. Things run late or early. We prepare for all of that.

We check lighting in advance, bring support lighting if needed, and always ask about must-have moments. We shoot branding details and capture room ambiance - not just faces. We also shoot with your end use in mind. Need LinkedIn banners? We’ll crop accordingly. Want shots for future promo decks? We’ll include wide-angle room coverage.
Event photography isn’t background work
At We Stream, we photograph events like they matter - because they do. From intimate CEO roundtables to arena-scale summits, we deliver fast, focused, editorial-level coverage that’s useful long after the lights go down.

FAQ

What’s included in a typical event photography package?
Most event photography packages include pre-event planning, on-site coverage, basic editing of all images, and delivery in both high-resolution and web-optimised formats. Add-ons like rush delivery, behind-the-scenes coverage, or extra photographers are also available.
How fast can I get event photos after the event?
Standard turnaround is usually 3–5 working days, but we offer next-day delivery or even same-day highlights for press or social use if needed.
Why do some photographers miss key moments?
Often it comes down to lack of planning or poor timing. We always work from a clear brief or schedule, scout the location, and stay in close contact with your team on-site to avoid missing anything important.
What questions should I ask before hiring an event photographer?
Ask about their experience with your type of event, how many hours of coverage are included, turnaround time, and how they handle low light or fast-moving situations. A good photographer should guide you through the process with confidence.
What happens if lighting is bad at an event?
We bring equipment that performs well in low light and always adapt on-site - whether that’s using fast lenses, compact lighting setups, or adjusting camera settings to preserve image quality without flash.
