You don’t always get a brief 18 hours before the shoot, but when you do, it helps to already be fast.
The organisers had reached out about a week before, but the actual brief didn’t arrive until late Sunday evening. The event was scheduled for early Monday morning: a high-profile unveiling of a Ukrainian mosaic featuring Oleksandr Usyk and Richard Branson, right in the middle of Trafalgar Square. Dozens of journalists were attending. Ukrainian media outlets were on standby. VIPs were flying in. But it was only after reading the brief that night that we realised: this wasn’t a one-camera shoot. It needed two videographers and a photographer as a minimum.
