Shot for Instagram

Most brand footage ends up on Instagram, but most of it isn't shot for it. We Stream plans Instagram content before the shoot: where it will be posted, what has to happen in the first second, and which formats you need. Then we film vertically, cut for attention and caption it to work on mute.

We're a London production team filming fashion and beauty launches, campaigns, behind-the-scenes, founder-led content and events, for brands including Lancôme, Heineken, YSL Beauty, Amina Muaddi and Rouje.

What we film

Content for the feed

Six kinds of Instagram content, each shot differently. Every example is a real project.

Reels for launches and product drops

A teaser before the launch, the reveal on the day and a recap after it, planned as one sequence so the three posts look like one campaign rather than three separate shoots.

Get Ready With Me and talent content

Lancôme's BAFTA preparation with Hoyeon Jung and with Millie Mackintosh, and YSL Beauty's evening Get Ready With Me with influencer Lucy Davies, filmed by a one-person crew in two hours.

Behind the scenes

Campaign shoots, fittings and set builds, filmed so the audience feels on set. For Kodansha's Blue Lock campaign we filmed an eight-person crew with ninety minutes at a Premier League training ground.

Stories and collab posts

Stories shot alongside the main video, and content made to be co-posted with talent or partners. Heineken co-posted the Margot Lee video we filmed, with a set of Stories shot on the same morning.

Founder-led content

A founder telling the story in their own voice, filmed on the move. NOA's founder Lily walked through London for a vertical brand story built for Instagram.

Street and outdoor campaigns

Posters, billboards and wild posting, filmed as the campaign goes up. Amina Muaddi's poster campaign in Shoreditch was ready for her social channels the same evening.

How we shoot

Why Instagram is a skill

A cinematic edit can still miss on Instagram. The platform rewards immediacy, so every frame has to earn attention.

The first second

Decided before filming, not found in the edit. The opening shot is planned so the video earns the next three seconds.

Framed for the app

Filmed 9:16, with key action and text kept clear of the areas Instagram covers with the caption, buttons and profile name. Feed versions in 4:5 or 1:1 come from the same setups.

Works on mute

Captions and on-screen text in your brand style. Or deliberately none: the Heineken video had no subtitles, so it read in Margot Lee's own voice.

Ready for your posting plan

Formats, versions and delivery dates agreed before the shoot, so the content lands when your calendar needs it, not when the edit happens to finish.

How it works

From brief to post

Content is part of the first conversation, not something captured at the end. We work with your team or your agency.

Brief

Tell us what you're launching, where it will be posted and when. We send a quote within 24 hours of knowing the date, the location and what the content has to do.

Plan

Formats, shot list, location and talent are agreed before the shoot, and a 50% deposit holds the date. We can suggest locations across London to fit your brand and budget.

Shoot

Filmed vertically, with feed versions from the same setups. A producer is on every project: on set for larger shoots, remotely for smaller ones.

Delivery

3 working days for a Reel or half day, 5 for a launch day, or the same day if planned. Two rounds of revisions are included, and the balance is due within 14 days of delivery.

Questions

Frequently asked

How much does an Instagram videographer cost in London?

With We Stream, an edited Reel starts at £1,100, a half day producing two to three Reels at £1,800, and a launch or campaign day with four to six edited videos at £3,500. A monthly Instagram retainer is £3,000 for one shoot day and six videos, or £5,500 for two days and twelve. Filming only, for teams with their own editor, is £300 an hour with a two-hour minimum. Prices exclude VAT where applicable.

What's included in an Instagram video package?

Planning before the shoot, vertical filming, editing with captions, and delivery ready to post as Reels, Stories or feed videos. Every package includes a producer, two rounds of revisions and £5 million public liability insurance held separately by each of our lead operators. Music for commercial use is licensed at cost, or you can add trending audio in the app when you post.

How quickly will we get our Instagram videos?

A single Reel or a half day turns around in 3 working days, and a full launch or campaign day in 5. Same-day delivery is an add-on from £400 to £1,500+, planned before the shoot: Amina Muaddi's poster campaign was ready for social the same evening.

Can you shoot photos for Instagram at the same time?

Yes. A photographer on the same shoot is £1,000 for a half day or £2,200 for a full day, for behind-the-scenes photos, press stills or carousels that match the video. For smaller shoots, one person can cover both photo and video for £2,500 a day.

Do I need a storyboard for Instagram video content?

Not usually. Most Reels work from a short shot list and a clear goal, agreed before the shoot. For a more polished campaign, we put together a simple visual plan with you first.

Can I reuse Instagram videos on TikTok or YouTube Shorts?

Yes. Reels, TikTok and Shorts all use 9:16, so we keep text and key action clear of each app's interface and can deliver clean versions without captions or music, ready to adapt for each platform.

Do you offer location scouting in London for Instagram shoots?

Yes. We suggest locations across London, from studios and stylised interiors to streets and public spaces, based on your brand, your budget and the permissions each location needs. Studio hire and location fees are passed through at cost.

Can you work with our agency or in-house team?

Yes. We regularly work alongside agencies and in-house teams, follow their brand guidelines and deliver assets in whatever structure they need. For Lunesi's campaign we were the filming crew working with the brand's agency, and Kodansha's Blue Lock shoot came through LA agency Story Arc.
