We Stream × Cytec
Filming corporate videos in London for a high-impact product launch
Filming date: 06.03.25
How the project landed on our desk

In December, Minx Creative - the lead agency for Cytec - reached out to We Stream, a London-based video-production house. They’d vetted multiple suppliers, but after calls, sample reels, and detailed Q&A, they chose us because we don’t just come on set with great gear, we build a plan, pressure-test the creative, and protect the final “feel” of every frame.

At We Stream, we specialise in filming corporate video content in London that feels sharp, strategic, and brand-aligned. Whether it's executive interviews, internal comms, or testimonial videos, we approach every shoot with the same attention to pacing, lighting, and message structure as a campaign launch. Our clients - from FTSE 100 companies to high-growth B2B startups - trust us to deliver video assets that work across intranets, leadership decks, and global distribution.
Cytec’s brief
Cytec, whose UK headquarters sit in Greenwich, London, was about to Launch a flagship product to external customers, announce an internal reorganisation, capture client testimonials that would lend social proof to the launch

They needed polished, but human videos: precise, warm, and unmistakably Cytec. We knew straight away it would be a multi-camera, detailed shoot.
Location scouting - grey room vs. the colourful room

After the initial deposit, our London team went to the eights club at Moorgate for a scout. The first option - a vast grey conference room - was technically spacious but visually flat. Even with clever lighting, “50 shades of corporate grey” wasn’t the look.

The second option, tucked inside the same building, was smaller but full of life: a geometric wooden ceiling, colour filled space, and real depth. Window reflections were a challenge, but manageable with flags and diffusion. Best of all, choosing this space saved Cytec £800 in venue fees - proof that good production can look great and spare the budget.

Crew, call sheet, and clockwork logistics

To keep the day friction-free, we issued a minute-by-minute schedule covering arrivals, make-up slots, shot order, and sound-check windows. Producer Violetta Coretnic, DoP Vitalii Vakulchuk, Gaffer Bogdan Rohulskyi, Sound Engineer Jacopo Scutti, Makeup Artist Beatrice Birollo.

The van rolled up at 07:30, and by 10:00 all three Sony FX3s, lighting, audio, and prompters were locked and ready inside Cytec’s “Colourful Room.”

Meeting the guests

Nothing jump-starts a set like a visitor from Rolls-Royce plc walking through the door. Megan Davies, their Digital Ops Lead, breezed through make-up and nailed her first take. Over eight hours we filmed:
  • 4 Cytec leaders
  • Sarah Thomas, Currys plc
  • James Wickham, Aviva plc
We’d budgeted for six interviews; Cytec requested two extra, and although only one additional guest could attend, we still wrapped seven finished videos within the booked window - no overtime, no extra charges.

4K masters, SRT subtitle files, and burned-in caption versions for Cytec’s global intranet
A few days after the main shoot, our team returned to Cytec’s headquarters at Greenwich View Place to capture cinematic B-roll footage for cutaway sequences and transitions. This included shots of team collaboration, branded signage, device interactions, and workspace details - all carefully framed to match the tone and lighting of the main interviews. The extra footage gave the edit a strong sense of place, reinforcing brand identity and allowing us to bridge talking points with visual storytelling. Integrating this material added depth and polish, making the final videos feel cohesive, dynamic, and visually rich.

A common challenge with corporate video is maintaining stylistic continuity when filming across multiple dates and locations. By returning to Cytec’s Greenwich HQ for B-roll with the same lighting logic, camera setup, and same DoP, we ensured a seamless visual experience. This consistency not only strengthened Cytec’s brand but also reinforced trust in the messaging - viewers across departments and geographies would see a unified, coherent story that reflects the company’s evolving strategy.

Post-production: subtitles, b-roll & sound polish

Editing ran in DaVinci Resolve Studio, where we cut in B-rolls to break up talking-head segments without losing narrative flow. Dialogue tracks were denoised, EQ-balanced, and lightly compressed for broadcast-grade clarity; room tone was matched across all angles to avoid any jarring cuts. We generated precise SRT subtitle files for global accessibility and delivered a second set of videos with burned-in captions for regions where external SRTs aren’t supported. On-screen motion graphics and branded lower-thirds came from our friends at Minx Creative, so the final pieces carried one seamless visual language.
Results that mattered
Cytec’s comms team reported these videos were “the most effective content of the quarter,”Stakeholders called them confident, clean, and compelling - exactly the tone we aimed for.

Why the shoot succeeded
  • Clear communication: Goals locked before a single lens cap came off.
  • Creative choices that respected budget: A vibrant room - and £800 saved.
  • Tight prep, expert crew: Everyone knew their mark and delivered on time.
Most corporate videos we film are designed to last beyond the quarter: they serve as training material, brand artefacts, and investor-ready content. With We Stream, clients receive edit-proof coverage, backup audio, and consistent lighting setups, so any speaker - from junior managers to C-level execs - feels comfortable, supported, and camera-ready.

Final thoughts

This project followed a delivery model we've refined across dozens of corporate shoots: clear briefing, location prep, pro gear, timed scheduling, and rapid editing. It’s a structure that helps leadership teams speak confidently on camera without over-rehearsal or reshoots. For clients like Cytec, this means every internal update, product launch, or testimonial video becomes distribution-ready content - usable across board meetings, intranets, and investor decks. Our aim is to take high-pressure messaging and make it look effortless.

Corporate video doesn’t have to feel corporate. With the right prep and the right people, even talking-head content can come across human, real, and razor-effective. At We Stream, we obsess over message architecture, find the visuals that make it sing, and land that message with clarity and confidence.

FAQ

Do I need a full camera crew for a corporate video?
Not always. For smaller internal videos or simple interviews, a one- or two-person setup may be enough. For high-end brand pieces, multi-location shoots, or videos with multiple speakers, a full crew improves efficiency and visual quality.
How many people do I need to film interviews?
A typical interview setup includes a camera operator and a sound technician. For polished lighting or multi-camera angles, adding a gaffer or assistant can be helpful. We can scale the team based on your goals and budget.
How do I prep my CEO for a video interview?
Keep it simple. Share the key talking points in advance, schedule time for a relaxed rehearsal, and reassure them that edits can cut out any mistakes. We guide speakers on set with gentle prompts and tips to help them come across naturally.
Should we record extra footage for future edits?
Yes. Capturing additional B-roll, reaction shots, and wider scenes gives flexibility for repurposing the video later or creating shorter versions for other platforms without needing another shoot.
What’s included in a full-service video production?
A full-service package includes planning (brief, script, schedule), filming (crew, gear, lighting, sound), and editing (cut-downs, subtitles, music, and colour grading). We also help with location scouting, casting, and content strategy if needed.
